This notice describes the current development service. The operating company, controller contact, legal bases, international transfer safeguards, and final retention schedule must be published before public registration opens.
What Melobiu uses
Your email and authentication identity sign you in. Your birthday enforces our 18+ rule. Profile details, languages, preferences, photos, likes, and messages support dating and conversations. Optional approximate location helps find nearby people.
Connected apps
After creating your profile, you can optionally connect Spotify in Edit profile. Spotify shares your account identifier and display name, and asks permission for Melobiu to read your top songs and artists. We store your connection credentials encrypted on our server. Connecting does not automatically publish your music or change your Melobiu sign-in. A necessary cookie secures the connection request for up to ten minutes. Disconnect in Edit profile to remove the connection and its stored data; requesting account deletion also removes it. You can additionally remove Melobiu’s access from your Spotify account’s Apps settings.
You can load your top songs and artists in Edit profile and choose up to five songs and three artists to share. Only the choices you save appear on your profile card for other eligible members. Imported suggestions are cached to reduce Spotify requests and refreshed when needed. Hide music removes your shared choices while keeping Spotify connected.
What other people see
Eligible signed-in members see your dating profile, age, city, and approved photos. They cannot retrieve your birthday, email, preferences, or coordinates. Members of an active conversation can read its messages. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted; authorized operators may access them for safety and operations.
Choices that stay yours
Pause discovery, change optional details, export your data, or delete your account from your profile. Deletion hides your profile immediately and queues account and media erasure. Short-lived photo links expire within 60 seconds; previously downloaded files cannot be recalled.
Measurement and storage
Authentication cookies are necessary to keep you signed in. No advertising or product analytics provider is active. Optional analytics choices can be changed using Privacy settings on any page or in your profile. Supabase stores account data and media; Vercel serves the application when deployed.
Necessary browser storage also remembers your privacy choice for 180 days and recovers profile edits for up to 30 minutes. Signed-in privacy choices are saved privately with their purpose version, time and source until account deletion, and replaced when you change them. Optional product measurement would measure onboarding and feature use; it excludes message content, candidate identifiers, advertising and anonymous visitor journeys. Collection is currently off, including after you accept. Rejecting or withdrawing never limits dating features or deletes sign-in cookies.
Separate operational performance samples contain only a metric, numeric value and coarse page category, without cookies or account identifiers. Hosting and authentication providers may keep their own access logs. Your iPhone app has its own browser storage; changing devices or clearing site data may require choosing again.
Reports and moderation
Photos are approved when uploaded. Members can report profiles, photos, and conversations for review by our team. Names and bios are checked against our community word rules. Uploads and profile edits are not sent to OpenAI for automatic screening. We keep reports and moderation decision history. Contact support if you believe a decision is incorrect.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and a complaint to your local data protection authority. Self-service export includes your profile, your messages, and your interactions in paginated batches. Operator assistance is required for additional legal requests.
Payments and purchase records
Mollie processes web payments and Apple processes in-app purchases. Melobiu stores provider transaction identifiers, product and payment status, subscription periods, and credit adjustments. We do not store card numbers. Purchase records are associated with your account to deliver and restore benefits and prevent duplicate credits. After account deletion, retained transaction records are detached from your account for reconciliation and fraud prevention.
